Honoured by Maharashtra Rajya Sahitya Academy Award and Sahyog Foundation Award, Tejendra Sharma is a well-known name in the genre of Hindi story writing. Abhishapt, is a story of conflict between logic and emotions; an altercation between the comforts of city and soil of motherland. Compelled by his circumstances, Mahesh comes to settle in London. His brother-in-law exploits him to the hilt. Forced to lead the life of a bonded labour, he gets marrid to a British Indian, Anju, who is all logic when it comes to sending money to his family back home.
